Patient View - Appointments

When you are in the Patient View you can see an individual patient's future and historical appointments.

Each heading in the Appointments column of Patient View will show you a maximum of 5 appointments, with further appointments accessed by selecting the arrow >.

The view is split into:

  • Scheduled appointments
  • Completed appointments
  • DNA's
  • Cancelled appointments

The time frame for appointment history is defined in Preferences - Patient Data.

  • > Displays full history for the section.

  • Returns to the Patient View.

Edit Past Appointments

When an appointment is more than 7 days old you are unable to amend the appointment.

The options available via right click are:

  • View clipboard
  • Deselect all

However, when an appointment is within 7 days, the appointment can be edited.

The right click menu has the following options.

  • View clipboard
  • Change Type
  • Change status
  • Move
  • Copy
  • Cancel appointments
  • Deselect all

To edit an appointment status in the history within the last 7 days, for example a DNA:

  1. Right click on the appointment.
    The booking displays a tick along with a yellow highlight, and the floating toolbar activates at the top of the screen.

  2. Select Change status from the toolbar.
    A drop down list displays.
  3. Choose the status type from the list.

    • Arrived
    • In Consultation
    • Seen

  4. The appointment moves from DNA into Completed when the screen is next accessed.
